Saturday is the second Maine Greenhouse and Nursery Day. So get out and go plant shopping. Just remember that it is still cold out there, so consider perennials and trees and shrubs for this weekend.I took these pictures at Ellis' Greenhouse and Nursery in Hudson, which will be participating with more than three dozen other businesses around the state. As you can see, the tender annuals are looking pretty perky. And if you must buy any of these, make sure they go under cover at night, especially if the temperature drops below freezing.
