Our woods walk is alive with mushrooms of many shapes and sizes. This one is in shadow one moment ...
and in sunlight the next as the wind blew the branches about overhead.
This one is attempting to camouflage itself, to what aim I know not.
This one just looks cozy, all nestled in the moss so velvety green.
These ones are popping up through leaves that already are turning brown.
This little colony is all about a stump in the middle of the path. I think they look quite happy there.
These very different ones are snug against a partially cut tree, popping up out of nowhere this fall.
